Domori, since its birth in 1997, has been a true revolution in the world of cocoa. Domori is a company rich in records: it was the first chocolate company to use only fine cacao, investing in high quality. It was the first to produce chocolate with Criollo cacao, the rarest and most prized of all. The first to control the supply chain starting from the plantations located in South America and Central America and to have its own plantation which allowed it to recover the biodiversity of Criollo cocoa. The first to rediscover and use an ancient and simple formula for the processing of chocolate: only cocoa paste and sugar. The first to create a 100% pure Criollo bar. Finally, the first to create a Chocolate Tasting Code to discover the infinite nuances of cacao.
Domori was born from the creative mind and passion for nature, gastronomy and cacao of Gianluca Franzoni who, in 1993, after studying economics, landed in Venezuela and, fascinated by the magic of cacao, decided to build a model for the repositioning of fine cacao. For three years he lived in the field experimenting with varieties and post-harvesting in order to preserve biodiversity and prevent the extinction of extra-fine cacao, Criollo. Since then, Gianluca Franzoni has been personally selecting raw materials and constantly innovating the company's products.
