Celli Azienda Vitivinicola in Bertinoro

The tradition of wine in Romagna, north of Italy, tells a popular and peasant tale, a story of extraordinary yet simple people who kept a patrimony of wine-growing culture alive on which we can now draw generously to produce today’s quality.

This is also the story of Celli, set up in 1963 in Bertinoro and immediately placed in the capable hands of the Sirri and Casadei families, nicknamed Bron and Rusèval.

Initially, the company’s growth was based around the peasant values of simple, well-made wines, while over the years Celli has become a reference point for the classic character of this territory.

Today the company produces from an array of vineyards, all located around the town of Bertinoro and selected with the benefit of experience from over 50 vintages and an unceasing strive towards quality. A specialist wine producer in this territory, that can produce genuine crus and blendings that express typicality and balance.

The Celli company cultivates 35 hectares of vines and every wine is produced with company grapes. After three years of organic conversion, from 1st of August 2020 all the grapes are certified.

All the vineyards surround the hilly town of Bertinoro, in Emilia-Romagna, North of Italy.

Here, the diversity of soils and microclimates defines four different characters, a collection useful for fine-tuning highly balanced and strongly territorial blendings.

The grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately; when the year permits, some are chosen for special wines that enhance the individual characteristics. The different vineyards are:

La Massa, at Massa di Bertinoro
Cellaimo, at Cellaimo di Bertinoro
Maestrina, at Casticciano di Bertinoro
Campi di Fratta, at Fratta Terme di Bertinoro
